Tutorial 5,
Setting Other Functions

Setting Other Functions
Now let's configure some special Functions.  You can open up this property sheet by opening the Guard-IE Settings/Control Panel and pressing the "Other" tab as seen below:

Check the "Enable Web bug detection" box to insure that any web bugs you encounter can be sniffed out and identified.  You can also select a sound to be played every time a web bug is found.

Click "Show taskbar icon while Guard-IE is running" to display the GuardWall Castle in the lower right of your screen.  This icon allows provides a one-button removal of ALL browser windows and histories.

We only recommend selecting "Allow Guard-IE to run in Windows Explorer process" for advanced users wishing access to Guard-IE functions via the Windows Explorer window instead of Internet Explorer.

Pressing the "Update" button will check with our Web server to see if there is an updated version of Guard-IE - if there is, it will notify you and ask permission to install the update.
